This year sees Anthony Brown running for Governor opposed by Doug Gansler. At first glance it would seem that Brown has the edge over Gansler. Brown is the Lieutenant Governor and has Governor Marty O'Malley supporting him strongly. Brown who managed to avoid getting caught up in the scandal of his mentor Senator Ulysses Curie's FBI investigation and emerged unscathed in the Jack and Leslie "Money in the Bra" Johnson arrests and convictions is a wily PG County pro. But Gansler made a move that no one expected. He named Jolene Ivey as his running mate.

Anthony has a muddled family situation with more than a few people scratching their heads over the timeline of the great wife swap of 09.
